Public Notice: Broadband Map Release & BEAD Deployment Launch

The Broadband Coordination, Opportunities, Redevelopment, and Deployment (BCORD) Office is excited to announce the official launch of American Samoa’s Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program! This milestone includes the release of American Samoa’s Broadband Map and the start of the BEAD Subgrantee Selection process a major step toward expanding internet access across the territory.
The Broadband Map identifies locations eligible for BEAD funding, classifying them as unserved, underserved, or Community Anchor Institutions (CAIs). This data will help guide funding decisions for broadband expansion projects.

April 2 – Broadband Map Release
April 15 - 30 – Map Public Comment Period
April 30 – BEAD Deployment Pre-Application Opens
June 16 - August 1 – Full Deployment Application Period
